The simplest operation with a mouse is to move the pointer
from one spot and to place the pointer on another spot.
This can be an icon or some text or a window.
Once at the designated spot, you can click or drag as desired.
When you are first getting used to a mouse,
it may take a few tries to see how positioning works.
